If you're looking to bulk edit your descriptions in a quick and easy way, you can use our Find & Replace tool. Follow the instructions below to learn how.

NOTE: FIND & REPLACE CHANGES ARE IRREVERSIBLE

Please use caution when replacing any text

Below are the steps:

1. In the Listings page, click on the drop down arrow beside the search bar at the top of the page:

2. Click on FIND & REPLACE:

3.  This is the new Find & Replace tool! This will allow you to enter text in the Find field and replace it with whatever you type in the Replace field:

4. Enter the text you want to find in the Find field:

TIP: Try using quotation marks before and after the text you are
searching for more accurate results. For example "Lorem Ipsum"

After you fill the Find field, you will see that CrazyLister will show you how many listings were scanned, and how many times that text was found in how many listings.

5. Enter the text you want to use as a replacement in the Replace field:

6. Click on Replace All

7. Wait for the completed notification. Keep in mind, the more listings you have, the more time it will take.

Note: You can leave the page and work on other things in CrazyLister while the Find & Replace does its work!

What does the "Find whole words only" toggle do?

The Find & Replace tool can work two ways, it can search for words entered in the Find field as a whole word/unit, or it can search for that text within other words.
For example:

A) When toggle is ON (green) - If you type in "phone" in the Find field, the tool will only search for the word "phone" and will not find it connected to other characters, for example "telephone" will not be found.

B) When toggle is OFF (grey) -  If you type in "phone" in the Find field, the tool will search for the word "phone" as is and if it is connected to other characters, for example "telephone" will be found. If you search for phone, and replace with book, "telephone" will become "telebook".
