For Inventory Sync to work on your listings across the different channels and sites, you must link the listings to products in the Catalog.

To link a listing and a product, they must both have the same SKU code. If you do not yet have products in the Products Catalog, there are two ways to do so.

  1. Automatically, by importing from eBay or Amazon in bulk:

   2. Manually, using an individual active listing:

If you already have products in the Products Catalog, continue reading below to learn how to link your listings to the products.

BEFORE YOU START

Keep in mind that your listings may have already been linked to products. If that's the case, a linked listing will display a gray link icon:

On the other hand, an unlinked listing will display a red link icon:

MANUALLY LINKING LISTINGS

1) From the left-side panel, access the Listings page of the relevant channel:

2) You will then see the link icons to the right of the thumbnail photo of each listing. Locate the listing you would like to link and click the red link icon.

3) In the drop-down menu, click "Link to a product". In the dialogue that appears, enter an existing product SKU and click "LINK TO THIS PRODUCT" to continue.

If successful, the dialogue will close and the red link icon will disappear:

If the SKU doesn't yet exist in the Products Catalog, an error message will appear. If that's the case, you will need to click on "Create new product". Please click the article below to see the step-by-step guide for doing so:

LINKING VARIATIONS

When listings contain variations, you should make sure to provide every variation with its own unique SKU code. By doing so, you will be able to manage the inventory of the individual variations using Inventory Sync.

When linking listings with variations to products, you can set the SKU on a per-variation basis. A listing variation can be associated with either an individual Catalog product, or a variation of a product - simply use the relevant SKU for the existing product you'd like to link it to.

If your listing variations already have SKU values assigned, the "Link to product" dialogue will look like this:

If your listing variations do not have SKU values yet, you will not be able to "Link to a product". Make sure to first add SKUs by going into the Edit page of the listing and adding SKUs under the "Variations" tab:

PRO TIP:

For non-variation listings, you can easily view the product it is linked to by clicking on the gray link icon and selecting "Go to linked product". Doing so will take you to that individual product's page in the Products Catalog:
